Saturday, June 5 is shaping up to be a good day to fish the Letort.
Hoping there’s a hatch coming off…if not, we’ll try the Cricket or Cress Bug.

UPDATE: Didn’t catch any fish, but did meet three visitors. Ethan, Murry & Charles.

Turns out, Murray just wrote a book…Growing Up In Grace…and he gave me a signed copy!  I’m looking forward to reading it…on those not-so-nice days when you can’t fish because of the driving rain.

No fish, but met three new friends.

Well, Opening Day finally arrived. I’m not one for crowds and I’m sure not one to hang with the fish-killers.
So I made my way to sacred waters-the Letort.
What a day!
Fish rising, bugs coming off, and my daughter rode her bike along.
She got to see the old man step into a hole all the up to my hip.
But eventually she got to see me fish to a rising trout. Caught on a tan caddis with the first cast! Not huge, but a native brown trout on the Letort!
